Paula Radcliffe cleared of doping allegations claims by IAAF

IAAF declares "suspicious" blood values provided by the marathon world record-holder during her career had been subject of "gross misinterpretation"
Paula Radcliffe has been cleared of being a drugs cheat by athletics’ world governing body and UK Anti-Doping, when both said there was no evidence against her.
The International Association of Athletics Federations declared “suspicious” blood values provided by the marathon world record-holder during her career had been the subject of a “gross misinterpretation” after she was identified on a leaked database of physiological readings.
That finding was corroborated by Ukad, which said it had reviewed Radcliffe’s data after obtaining access to it through the IAAF.
In a 38-page submission to a parliamentary inquiry into blood doping in athletics, the IAAF also attacked the “truly shocking” treatment of Radcliffe, who it said had been “hounded remorselessly” into outing herself as one of the athletes on the database.
And the governing body was equally scathing about allegations that it failed to act on hundreds of “suspicious” test results overseveral years, claiming they were based on “inaccurate and unfounded scientific and legal argument”.
Radcliffe was among those whose blood data was leaked by a whistle-blower in August.
