'Heavy gunfire' breaks out in Paris suburb as police hunt for ninth jihadi linked to attacks on French capital

French media are reporting that there has been heavy gunfire during a police operation in Saint Denis, a northern suburb of Paris, early Wednesday morning.
According to a source cited by The Daily Telegraph, there was an exchange of gunfire during the operation. The source could not confirm who was targeted in the operation.
The police operation is reported to be linked to the search for the “ninth attacker,” who is thought to be on the run.
Roads have since been closed off and police have told inhabitants to return home, according to French journalist Djamel Mazi.
French television station BFMTV said some police had been wounded during the operation.
