There was a pulsating derby match between Tranmere
Rovers and Wrexham on Tuesday night – literally.
The game itself was an enthralling encounter that
finished 2-2, but it may well end up being remembered for something extremely

forced to remove an object that looked suspiciously like a sex toy from the
pitch during the match.
While Davies’ removal job was extremely prompt, it
didn’t escape the eagle eyed Craig Colville, who photographed the incident for
the local newspaper.

‘I was covering the game when I heard a thud,’ he
said.
‘I saw what I thought was a carrot and thought ‘what
sort of football fan would take a carrot to a game?
‘When I realised what it was, I thought crikey – that
could have taken someone’s eye out or chipped a tooth.’
