A Football fan arrested after goalkeeper is forced to remove ‘sex toy’ thrown onto pitch

There was a pulsating derby match between Tranmere Rovers and Wrexham on Tuesday night – literally.
The game itself was an enthralling encounter that finished 2-2, but it may well end up being remembered for something extremely different.

And that’s because Tranmere keeper Scott Davies was forced to remove an object that looked suspiciously like a sex toy from the pitch during the match.

‘I was covering the game when I heard a thud,’ he said.
‘I saw what I thought was a carrot and thought ‘what sort of football fan would take a carrot to a game?

‘When I realised what it was, I thought crikey – that could have taken someone’s eye out or chipped a tooth.’
