The Greek island of Naxos, the biggest island of the Cyclades, will host the finals of the Greek Freestyle Windsurf Tour this upcoming weekend on October 24 and October 26 at the Laguna beach, located on the island’s eastern shores.
“The organizers’ goal is for these games to be established as a sporting event of global specifications and for Naxos to be promoted as much as possible as the ideal destination for sporting activities,” Ioannis Margaritis the Vice-President for Sport of the South Aegean Prefect is quoted as saying by Greek media.
Margaritis also noted that the Laguna beach is ideal for hosting the games, while Naxos as a whole is a preferred training destination for international windsurfers.
