Three players Gus Poyet could take from Sunderland to AEK Athens

It was heavily rumoured yesterday and now it has been confirmed that Gustavo Poyet has taken the job at Greek side AEK Athens.
Poyet, who has also managed Brighton and Hove Albion, lost his job at Sunderland last season as the club began descending toward relegation.
He had been out of work since March but is now taking over at the reborn club.
AEK are currently third in the Greek Super League after recovering from financial collapse and relegation last season under the guidance of club legend Traianos Dellas. He stepped down a week ago after a fall out with the board and a 4-0 loss to Olympiakos.
But will Poyet return to Sunderland to poach any players?
There are bound to be some players at the club that could be lured to Greece by the former Sunderland gaffer - here are three possibilities:
    Liam Bridcutt
The robust midfielder also played for Poyet at Brighton but has struggled in the Premier League.
He has not played at all this season and the Scot could thrive in Greek football.
    Charis Mavrias
In all fairness this attacking midfielder did not get much of a look in at Sunderland under Poyet. But that does not mean the Uruguayan might not fancy bringing him back to his Greek homeland.
    Jordi Gomez
A Poyet signing the Spaniard would surely relish the chance to work with Pyet again, if he is not already settled in England that is.
AEK have three Spaniards on their books already, so Gomez would be in good company.
