Former Sunderland manager Gus Poyet has landed in Greece to finalise the deal to take charge of AEK Athens. The Uruguayan has been out of work ever since he parted company with Premier League outfit Sunderland in March. He had been linked with the Aston Villa vacancy following the sacking of Tim Sherwood at the weekend, but his presence in the Greek capital would suggest that he is close to agreeing terms with AEK.
