Bastian Schweinsteiger is mounting legal action against a Chinese toy company for producing dolls that look like the Manchester United midfielder dressed in Nazi military uniforms.
The likeness to Germany captain Schweinsteiger is uncanny, although the company insists that any resemblance is purely co-incidental.
"We think that all Germans look like that. Bastian is also a very common name in Germany," DID company spokesman Patrick Chan told Bild.
Schweinsteiger's representative said the 31-year-old world cup winner was taking legal action dispite the company's denial.
The Chinese toy and model maker also makes figures of notorious Soviet Union despot Joesph Stalin and British wartime prime minister Winston Churchill.
