In a game which started with Olympiacos leading 32-18 after the first quarter, Panathinaikos proved once again that at OAKA there’s a Green law. Panathinaikos got the 73-69 win by finishing the game the right way.
With a 9-0 run in the last quarter the hosts got a 67-57 lead with five minutes left. Olympiacos came back with its own 7-0 run (67-64) as Ioannis Papapetrou scored five crucial points. Miroslav Raduljica and Sasha Pavlovic once again gave to Panathinaikos a 7 points lead (71-64) and despite a big three by Vasilis Spanoulis and 2/2 free throws by Papapetrou (71-69) the Reds couldn’t get closer. James Feldeine sealed the win also with two free throws (73-69) and the game was over.
It was the second win for the Greens over Olympiacos in just 10 days, after beating Olympiacos at SEF in the Greek cup quarterfinals. Panathinaikos, AEK, Trikala and Kifisia are the only four teams left with a 2-0 record after the second round of action in the Greek league.
