The Daily Mirror are reporting, on tomorrow's front page, that two Premier League footballers are ready to come out as gay. One of the players is believed to be an England international.
The news, if true, will prove to be a landmark moment in British football history as the two players will be openly homosexual footballers in the Premier League era.
Former Aston Villa midfielder Thomas Hitzlsperger also came out, but once he had retired.
Initiatives such as the Rainbow Laces campaign have proved that prehistoric, ugly attitudes towards homosexuality in football are diminishing and that the modern game is, thankfully, accepting of players of all sexualities.
Let's hope fellow players and fans alike are fully supportive of the pair, should the reports prove to be correct.
