PAOK plan to loan Terry Antonis to fellow Greek club Veira FC

Greek Super League side PAOK hope to finalise a $500,000 deal to sign Antonis this week, but it’s believed they have plans to loan him to Veira FC, the side that finished 14th in last season’s Super League.
Nonetheless Antonis is believed to be keen to complete the move, his third attempt to move into European football, and will have no problem with eligibility as he holds a Greek passport.
PAOK have invoked a buyout clause in Antonis’s contract, forcing Sydney to open talks on a deal, and the player has returned from the Sky Blues’ training camp on the Gold Coast in anticipation of undertaking a medical once the deal is sufficiently far advanced.
Veira are coached by Georgios Georgiadis, a former PAOK favourite as a player and twice the club’s interim coach before being appointed to their neighbours at the end of last season. They already have one player on loan from PAOK, 18-year-old midfielder Dimitris Giannoulis.
