Daniel Orton pens with AEK Athens

Daniel Orton (208 cm, Kentucky’10) will continue his pro career this 2015/16 with Greek club AEK Athens (A1). Orton is coming off a three-game stint as the import of the Purefoods Star Hotshots (Philippines-PBA) for the Commissioner’s Cup. He averaged a double-double with 15.0 ppg and 12.7 rpg. Orton was also exceptional on defense with 3.3 blocks per game. Daniel suited up for the Sichuan Blue Whales of China’s CBA in 2014/15. He recorded averages of 14.3 ppg and 9.5 rpg in 15 games. In March 2015 he signed with the Grand Rapids Drive of the NBA D-League and there he averaged 6.7 ppg and 5.8 rpg.
