    Rumors... Nick Calathes back to Greece;

    Αccording to Eurohoops.com, Memphis Grizzlies' restricted free agent Nick Calathes is rumored to have been offered a 3 year deal worth more than six million dollars to sign with the Greek league team Panathinaikos.  The deal with the Greek team would include a NBA out clause after the 2017 season.  The author does not specify the likelihood of Nick taking the deal or staying in the NBA.
    So far, the only interest that Calathes has been officially offered is the qualifying offer from the Grizzlies worth 1.1 million dollars, although there have been some rumors that the Dallas Mavericks may be interested in his services.  The Grizzlies are probably not too keen on him returning, as their point guard position is pretty crowded at the moment (Conly, Udrih, Smith, and one of the Harrisons).  Whether or not he is interested in returning to Europe to play basketball, he will probably not get anywhere close to the amount of money that Panathiniakos is willing to give him.
    Originally drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2009, Calathes joined the Grizzlies in 2013 after being having his draft rights traded from Dallas for a second round pick.  After struggling early in the season, Nick averaged 4.9 points, 2.9 assist, and almost 1 steal per game in 71 games played.  He was suspended at the end of the 2013-2014 season for twenty games for testing positive for Tamoxifen.  He played 58 games for the Grizzlies this season, averaging 4 points and 2.5 assist per game, sharing time as a backup with Beno Udrih.
