The Sun have splashed their front page on Tuesday with a shocking story about Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse, as they claim that the Magpie has had two wives, three girlfriends, while he stands accused of getting one of wives pregnant at 13.
This is not he first time the Sun have gone after Cisse for his off-the-field lifestyle.
At the start of June, under the headline ‘Taking the Papiss”, the Sun reported that Cisse has jilted his girlfriend in England to marry a volleyball player in Paris.
The latest revelations printed in the Sun are shocking, and likely to ensure that the Newcastle striker is harassed and shamed as a bigamist and Paedophile in pretty much every away match this season.
Cisse stands accused of having got his first wife pregnant when she was just 13. Cisse was 16 at the time.
The Sun say the couple “falsified their son’s birth date on documents” in order to cover up the fact the mother was just 13 when she fell pregnant.
Moreover, the tabloid says Cisse never officially divorced his first wife, meaning that “Cisse’s May marriage to Senegalese volleyball star Diallo Awa in France was bigamous”.
Cisse, however, will not face any legal proceedings, as the statute of limitations has expired against the Newcastle footballer. The paper report:
It broke the law in both France and Senegal. The maximum sentence in both countries for bigamy is 12 months’ jail.
Cisse could have faced up to ten years if convicted of underage sex when his son was born. But too much time has lapsed for police to now bring charges.
The Sun’s article is full of saddening quotes from Cisse’s first wife, Adjia Siny Thiaw. For the record, the couple had a baby boy, Ousmane, and Papiss remains in his life.
Adjia Siny Thiaw described how she “did not even know I was pregnant until I gave birth”, while she also revealed that “I knew he had a girlfriend in England but he told me it was over”.
In a final blow at Cisse, the Sun also announced that the Toon striker had three girlfriends while he was still married to his first wife, and while he was courting his second bride:
Former Miss England finalist Rachelle Graham was his on-off girl for two years after they met in November 2012… She was looking forward to a future together until she discovered on Facebook that he had wed in France behind her back.
Dancer Natalie Gibson, 24, from Durham, was so smitten with Cisse she was preparing to convert to Islam to marry him… She only discovered he had got married after reading about it in The Sun.
Model Lasconnie Silva, dated Cisse for eight months until she too read of his wedding in The Sun.
