Stephen
Curry has powered Golden State to victory over Charlotte, helping the Warriors
extend the best start in NBA history to 20-0.
Curry
scored 40 points in the 116-99 win on Wednesday on a night when the Hornets
honoured the Golden State star's father, Dell, the franchise's career-scoring
leader.
Hitting
14 of 18 shots from the field, Curry also went eight for 11 from the
three-point line.
Curry
junior, who grew up in Charlotte, scored 28 points in the pivotal third
quarter.
He
hit 10 of 11 shots from the field, including all five threes - many from well
beyond the arc and in the face of a defender - to help the Warriors build a
21-point lead.
The
Warriors Australian centre Andrew Bogut finished with four points and 11 rebounds.
