    Russian military plane crashes in Black Sea



    A Russian military plane with 92 people on board, including a famous military band, has crashed into the Black Sea.
    The plane disappeared off the radar at around 5.25am local time and so far fragments and one body has been found, authorities said.
    It was on its way to Latakia in Syria from Moscow and crashed after refueling in Sochi.
    The defence ministry said in a statement: ‘Fragments of the Tu-154 plane of the Russian defence ministry were found 1.5km (one mile) from the Black Sea coast of the city of Sochi at a depth of 50 to 70m (165-230ft).’
    Some 64 of those on board were from the Alexandrov Ensemble but there were also nine journalists, eight soldiers and eight crew.
    inning human rights campaigner Elizaveta Glinka, who is the executive of the Fair Aid charity, was also amongst those on board.
    It is thought the passengers were travelling to Syria to perform for the Russian troops stationed there.
