Ibrahimovic set to leave Paris Saint-Germain

Swedish football star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has announced that he will leave Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) at the end of the season, as rumours swirl about which club he will now join.

The towering striker announced his departure via his Twitter account on Friday morning.
“My last game tomorrow at Parc des Princes. I came like a king, left like a legend,” Ibrahimovic said, striking the familiar arrogant tone that has earned him both fans and haters since he joined the Parisian club four years ago.
Ibrahimovic, 34, led PSG to its fourth consecutive Ligue 1 championship this year, and was crowned France's player of the year for a record third time.
PSG said Ibrahimovic would rejoin the club’s management once he retired as a player.
His departure had been rumoured for months, with the footballer helping to fuel the debate.
Amid contract renegotiations, the star striker suggested in March that the French capital should swap the Eiffel Tower for a statue to his glory.
“If they replace the Eiffel Tower with a statue of me, I will stay at PSG. I can promise that!” he joked.
Sports news network ESPN said the striker has hinted at a return to Inter Milan, where he excelled between 2006 and 2009 before a disappointing stint at Barcelona.
There have nevertheless been speculations he was eyeing contracts with the MLS or Manchester United.
PSG take on Nantes at home on Saturday, but Ibrahimovic’s last game wearing the Parisian jersey will be in the Coupe de France final against Marseille on May 21.
