NICK Kyrgios has been cleared to contest the AEGON
Championships at Queen’s Club next week.
Kyrgios experienced soreness in his right elbow when losing
in the third round of the French Open to world No 3 Andy Murray.
The injury has been treated over the past 10 days and Kyrgios
has gradually increased practice court intensity.
Kyrgios’s manager John Morris confirmed the Wimbledon and
Australian Open quarter-finalist was fit to resume.
Kyrgios is scheduled to play the AEGON Open in Nottingham
after Queen’s before a training week ahead of Wimbledon, which starts on June
29.
Queen’s Club will parade three Wimbledon champions — Rafael
Nadal, Murray and Lleyton Hewitt — as well as fellow grand slam winners Stan
Wawrinka and Marin Cilic.
Hewitt and Wawrinka have been given wildcards into the west
London event.
