Luke Steele, will continue playing for Greek soccer club Panathinaikos F.C. until the summer of 2018, according to the Greek Super League club’s announcement on Monday.
30 year-old Steele commented on his contract extension with the Greek soccer team: “I’m over the moon. It is an important day for me and my family.”
The player, who started his career at local side Peterborough United, confided his deep connection with Panathinaikos, he did not hesitate, though, to reveal his fear and suspicion during the first month he joined the Greek team.
“Here it is more professional than I thought. Panathinaikos is a club with great history. [Soccer] is a short career so you have to take decisions. It is important to make good choices and to feel wanted as I do in my club,” he explained.
Talented Luke Steele has already played for Manchester United, West Bromwich Albion, and Barnsley before he joined Super League Greece club Panathinaikos on July 17, 2014.
