Michael Essien is on his way out from Milan as details emerge of an offer from Greek club Panathinaikos.
It was the Ghanaian's misfortune to join the Rossoneri for two highly turbulent seasons, but his own performances came short of expectations and many doubt he'll retain his place.
With his contract set to expire this summer, there are reports of an offer coming in from Greece. According to Sky Sport Italia, Super League club Panathinaikos are willing to strike a two-year deal for €1.1m per season, bound to rise to €1.5m with bonuses.
His agent is expected in Athens next week to discuss the possible transfer
