    England stun Scotland 3-0

Despite some decent build-up play from the visitors throughout the game, England almost always had them at arm’s length as they killed them off with some clinical finishing.
Scotland haven’t enjoyed a win over England since all the way back in 1999, and that may have played on some players’ minds as they seemed to panic at the vital moments at both ends of the pitch.
Having failed to clear an England attack decisively, Scotland were punished as Kyle Walker sent the ball back in for Sturridge to head in the opener on 24 minutes.
Moments after blocking a good chance for Scotland at one end, England broke down the left-hand side through Raheem Sterling and Danny Rose, with the latter eventually crossing for Adam Lallana to head in a well-taken second.
A Wayne Rooney corner was then nodded in by Gary Cahill, making it three headed goals on the night from Gareth Southgate’s side.
The only real concern for Southgate this evening will be some unconvincing touches from John Stones, who made a meal out of some straightforward situations at the back.
Too keen to play the possession game drilled into him at Manchester City, Stones put England in trouble on three occasions in the first half that could have led to Scotland goals.
In the end, the Three Lions showed their superiority, but may want to re-think their defensive line up and approach for the next game against Spain.
