‘Educated people are very scared’
“In Michigan we are the number one area for white supremacy groups. I think they are coming out. It is very, very scary.
“People are considering moving to Canada. Educated people are very scared. The ones that aren’t don’t see it but they will see it.” Democrats have voiced concern throughout the presidential campaign that Donald Trump would pose a danger to global stability and a threat to US institutions and values. Yet Mr Trump has enjoyed electoral victory in swing states including Florida, Iowa, Ohio and North Carolina. Mr Trump’s anti-immigration policies, including his plans to build a wall on the Mexican border to prevent Hispanic migrants from entering the US, have been widely ridiculed. But the business tycoon’s likely ascension to the White House will give him the green light to enact his anti-immigration plans.
