    Josh Kennedy retires from football


    Former Socceroo and Melbourne City striker Josh Kennedy has announced his retirement from professional soccer after 15 years.
    The 32-year-old, who only made his A-League debut in February, said the demands of the sport had taken a toll on his body.
    "And after consultation with family and friends, I've made the decision to step away from playing," he said in a statement on Friday.
