Euro 2016 warm up. France ease past Scotland

Olivier Giroud silenced his doubters by scoring twice as France eased past Scotland 3-0 on Saturday in their final warm-up match ahead of next week's Euro 2016 opener against Romania at the Stade de France.

The Arsenal striker cleverly flicked home a Bacary Sagna cross to fire France into an eighth-minute lead in Metz, and he added a second on 35 minutes after David Marshall could only parry a crisp low drive from Dimitri Payet.
Laurent Koscielny turned in a third from a corner shortly after, while Paul Pogba nearly added a fourth when his second-half free-kick smacked against the post.
Giroud had been jeered by his own fans when France beat Cameroon on Monday, despite scoring in a 3-2 win.
This time, he was cheered off the field when replaced midway through the second half by Andre-Pierre Gignac, now his rival in attack in the absence of Karim Benzema.
Hosts France kick off the European Championship on Friday against Romania, with Didier Deschamps' side also facing tournament debutants Albania and Switzerland in Group A.
