Nick Kyrgios is into the final of the Cincinnati Masters

Nick Kyrgios is into the final of the Cincinnati Masters after taking down another Spaniard, this time in the form of David Ferrer.
Kyrgios had a much tougher time of it compared to Saturday's dismantling of Rafael Nadal, winning 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-4) in a tight contest in which neither player lost a game on serve.
Still, the Australian world number 23 had to work hard on service, as Ferrer fought to cover plenty of court despite his advancing years.
Basic mistakes also didn't help — with Kyrgios looking to wrap the second set quickly, he fluffed his lines by paddling a simple volley into the net with Ferrer at his mercy.
But in typical fashion, Kyrgios did seal the game with an effortless winner down the line with Ferrer stranded again, to lead 5-4 and hunting a break.
That break didn't come, even with Ferrer double-faulting to bring it back to deuce, as the match became a serving siege against the Spaniard's mental reserves.
Those tremendous reserves would give out, but only in the form of a tie-break.
Kyrgios got the mini-break early, aced his way to a 4-1 lead, only for Ferrer to fight back to 4-3.
The Australian brought out the trusty first serve for another cross-court ace, before acing again off a slider.
He took out the tie break off Ferrer's serve, with the Spaniard hitting it long to conclude a hard battle.
Kyrgios will face Grigor Dimitrov — who beat John Isner 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (12-10) — in the final, in the lead-up to the US Open at Flushing Meadows
