It’s been one fucked up day. I don’t like to use profanities when I write but there really isn’t any other way to describe the tragic events that took place in Barcelona today.
13 people lost their lives today and almost 100 injured after a van drove through a crowd of people in popular tourist destination Las Ramblas.
The world is once again in shock, especially those that reside in the famous city.
FC Barcelona will wear black arm bands against Real Betis this weekend in honour of all victims who were affected today. It’s a shame that the opening day of the La Liga has to be marred with this kind of news. Both teams will also take part in a minute silence before kick-off
“FC Barcelona wants to express its profound sorrow and utter disgust at the terrorist attack that has hit the heart of our city, la Rambla de Barcelona.”
“The club wishes to send our support and thoughts to the victims, their families and friends as well as the people of Barcelona and its visitors.”
“As a mark of respect, the flags will fly at half-mast at the club’s installations and the players from both teams will wear black armbands in all matches this weekend.”
“On Sunday, before the 2017/18 La Liga opener against Betis, the Nou Camp will hold a minute’s silence in recognition and memory of the victims.”
