Nottingham newbie Vellios hopes for better after learning from Everton spel

Nottingham Forest recently snapped up their first summer signing with the arrival of Greek international striker Apostolos Vellios from Iraklis.
Whilst many Forest fans will not be well acquainted with the bullish striker others will certainly recognise his name from a previous stint in England.
Vellios is a former Everton youngster, who also spent time on loan at Blackpool.
He never quite made the grade in England first time around but he has told BBC Nottingham Sport this week that he is hopeful of taking a second chance on these shores.
    He stated:
"When I was 18 I came here and for three and a half years it was a little bit hard for me.
"Now it's like a second chance. I really wanted to come back here. succeed this time around.
"I was young and now I feel I have a bit more experience. I feel completely different.
"Everton was like a school for me, because I came here young and learned a lot. Now I think it's going to be easier to be part of an English team.”
Vellios showed flashes of talent after joining Everton from Iraklis in 2011. He scored three goals for Everton in his first 235 minutes of English football but never netted again and his spell at Blackpool was largely forgettable.
At Forest he is likely to have an entirely different role.
