Australia call up for Greek Super league goal machine?

Ange Postecoglou has reportedly convinced striker Apostolos Giannou to play for the Socceroos and the Melbourne-born Greek Super League goal machine could be capped as early as next month.
The Socceroos are set to face Tajikistan and Jordan in World Cup qualifiers next month.
According to reports, Giannou, 26, has met with Postecoglou and as a result is set to play for Australia, despite already playing for Greece in a friendly last November.
Giannou, who has bagged 13 goals in this season’s Greek Super League with Asteras, is set to move to Chinese Super League club Guangzhou R&F.
And now he’s set to move national teams with the sensational prospect of facing the Greeks on June 4 in a friendly announced this week for Sydney's ANZ stadium.
“The effort of coming here to see me tells it all,” Giannou told Fox Sports News when asked about Postecoglou's visit.
“You don’t need to say much. The thing about Ange, which I appreciate, is he didn’t push me to play for Australia.
"He wanted to see how my mind was and how I thought about it.”
“It hasn’t been easy and obviously it’s difficult to choose which country to play for since I feel the same for both countries,” he explained.
“The politics here are more than usual, I know that Australia has been going upwards since Ange took over.
“Australia would be better for me as a footballer, to play for them and to give them everything I can and to bring the best out of me.”
